Municipal Bonds is honored to present a solo booth of new works by Oakland-based artist and designer Yvonne Mouser at FOG FOCUS 2025. Mouser's investigations into perceptions of time and natural phenomena serve as a showcase of design, craft, and conceptual art. Her exhibition, diverse in materiality and function, will range from sculptures to furniture, objects, and lighting. In mediums such as wood, metal, glass, sand, paper, natural fibers, and composites, Mouser experiments with process and systems of assembly in combination with concepts of transformation to create works suggesting growth, decay, or a sequence of temporal states, teasing apart time. In her work, layering of functionality or structure transforms familiar objects, yielding adaptations of the vernacular. While at times utilitarian, they function at once as implements for storytelling, for engaging concerns about the environment, and probing curiosities of the universe. The exhibition includes wall-mounted works, freestanding furniture, and tabletop objects arranged into an interior room setting of playful yet melancholic expression.
